The city walls in three hours
Two kilometres of rampart around the old town, with the main street and the palace inside it.
The walls are the walk. Two kilometres of continuous rampart, one-way, with no shade and about a thousand steps, which is why this route does them first and leaves the flat street for afterwards. Go at opening or in the last two hours; the middle of a summer day up there is genuinely punishing and there is nowhere to escape it.
