Silom and Lumphini in three hours
The city's central park at dawn, the glass-floor skywalk, and the Hindu temple in the middle of the business district.
The six-hour route does Rattanakosin, which is temples and palaces. This is the other Bangkok — the business district, a park with monitor lizards in it, and the tallest public viewpoint in the country. Start early. Lumphini before eight is full of tai chi and joggers and is the only comfortable hour to be outdoors here.

Patpong Night Market
Stalls down the middle of a street known for other things. Worth a walk through for the contrast with everything else on this route; bargain hard or do not buy.
