Best time to visit Vienna

The sweet spot is September, May and June — averages 19°C, 7 rainy days, moderate crowds.

April – June, September – October

Continental climate with warm summers (27°C) and cold winters (-2°C). Vienna's Christmas season (December) rivals Prague's for markets and atmosphere but with better museums to retreat into when it's cold. April–June is ideal: chestnuts bloom along the Ringstraße, café terraces open, and the opera season peaks. July–August is warm and pleasant but costly and crowded.
