Marina Bay in three hours
The lion statue and the waterfront, across the helix bridge to the hotel and the supertrees.
Marina Bay is a three-kilometre loop around water, almost entirely covered or shaded, which in this climate is the reason the route exists at all. Everything here has been built since 1970 and most of it since 2010. Time the end for 19:45 to catch the light show in the Supertree Grove, which is free.

Merlion Park
A lion's head on a fish's body, invented by the tourist board in 1964 and now unavoidable. The view across the bay is the real reason to stand here.

Esplanade
Two spiked domes the city immediately nicknamed the durians. Free performances most evenings on the outdoor stage.

Helix Bridge
A double-helix footbridge with viewing pods, lit after dark. Crosses to the hotel side of the bay.

Marina Bay Sands
Three towers with a ship on top. The SkyPark observation deck is ticketed and the mall underneath has a canal with sampans in it.

Gardens by the Bay
The outdoor gardens and Supertree Grove are free; the two cooled conservatories are ticketed. Light show at 19:45 and 20:45.
