Best time to visit Istanbul

The sweet spot is September, May and June — averages 22°C, 7 rainy days, moderate crowds.

April – June, September – October

Mediterranean-influenced climate with warm, dry summers (32°C) and cool, wet winters (5–8°C). April–June is the sweet spot: flowers blooming on the Bosphorus, pleasant temperatures, manageable crowds. July–August is hot and busy — the city never stops, but the heat is real. September–October brings golden light and the grape harvest. Winter is underrated: the mosques are empty, tea houses are warm, and the city is entirely local.
