The sweet spot is September, June and May — averages 22°C, 6 rainy days, peak-season crowds and peak prices.

April – June, September – October

Mediterranean climate with hot summers (35°C+) and mild winters (8°C). April-June is the sweet spot: the city in bloom, the Arno at its most beautiful, and crowds manageable before peak season. July-August is scorching - morning sightseeing only. September-October brings harvest season, the best food markets, and golden Tuscan light. November-March is cold but the museums are nearly empty - the Uffizi in February with a dozen other visitors is a completely different experience.
